African IT leaders to gather for summit in Nairobi – Business Leaders

Leaders of the information technology industry in Africa are set to gather in Nairobi next month for a major annual conference.

Organisers of the annual IT Leaders East Africa Summit have announced that the event will take place on September 5 and 6 in the heart of Kenya’s esteemed capital city.

The summit is produced and hosted by international business-to-business conferencing company, Kinetic Events , in association with the Kenya ICT Board (KICTB) and Kenya Information Technology and Outsourcing Services (KITOS).

The primary aim of the summit is to give IT executives and industry leaders and exclusive platform to share experiences, network among peers and engage in interactive discussions with fellow senior executives, government officials, senior decision makers and international industry guest speakers.

The event will focus on enterprise IT, challenges facing the African IT industry, preventing enterprises within the continent from reaching the international standards of first world nations.

It will also address today’s top ICT and operations issues, and technological advancements impacting enterprise with strategic guidance and actionable tactics.

Guest speakers will include Nixon Mageba Gecheo, Group ICT Manager for The Commission on Administrative Justice, Arthur Chege, Group ICT Manager for British American Insurance Company, and Paul Kukobo, CEO for Kenya ICT Board.

Attendees will be able to engage in topical discussions addressing how IT industry challenges can be overcome through effective innovation with the productive alignment of business.

The IT Leaders Summit series is hosted in strategic locations all over the world including Johannesburg, Dubai, Ghana, Cape Town and Nairobi.

The series hosts more than 150 CIOs and senior IT executives representing leading companies from the respective regions.
